Borne as a love letter to cinema, Dear Cinema is a serial film screening event where we aim to celebrate films by female filmmakers in all capacities. ⁣

We recently screened Lost in Translation (2003) in Beijing for the second installation. Written and directed by Sofia Coppola, the movie told a heartfelt story of loneliness on foreign lands. Cosied in the plush seats of the cinema to a good story, here's a brief recap of what went down that night. ⁣
